The Dream

Translucent, iridescent,
cobalt blue orbs
came to me in a dream.
Pulsing  pure white light
they darted, frolicked and flitted
through my leaves and limbs
gleefully spiraling around my trunk.
They disappeared beneath the soil
squeezing between my roots
tickling me
until I hurt from laughter.

Finally
they surfaced.
Resting on my limbs
they said

You are surrounded by
light and love.
You will never witness
war, atrocity or famine again.
You will never live in fear
that you will be downed
for profit or greed.
You are free.
Humanity is free.
The dark ones are gone.

From now on there will only be
love, joy, light, harmony
among all creatures.
Everlasting peace.
It‘s happening right now.
All beings from the galaxies are
watching, celebrating,
rejoicing.
When we leave you will be
living in a new reality.

The orbs vanished
instantly waking me.

I felt love permeating every cell
from the top of my branches
to the bottom of my roots.

At that very moment
my entire being knew
we are all one connected
sacred energy of Source.

Waiting

Just because
we can’t be seen
doesn’t mean
we don’t exist

Souls of trees past
we wait for our return

We float above clouds
remembering
the moment
we were downed
before our time

When we weep
rains come
nurturing
our offspring
left behind

Dance of the Garden Divas

36 x 48 inches, oil/wax on canvas, 2016
Giclees available upon request.

The Messengers

Every night
Divas
light spirits of
trees
flowers
algae
moss
dance in the night sky
delighting the stars

Their choreographed steps
graceful swirls
dips
gleeful pirouettes
send waves upon waves
of loving joyful energy
into the hearts
of sleeping earthlings

Rhythmically pulsing
one subliminal message
Dwell in harmony
dance lightly on your earth

Memories

Memories

I miss them so much
I love them so much
the furry and feathered babies who
have passed through my life

Some stayed for a season
some stayed for years
each one’s passing
left a hole in my heart

The squirrel family
who fearlessly leaped
branch to branch
sharing seeds and limb with
glorious migratory flying friends

The hedgehogs who burrowed
between tree roots
dining on newly planted bulbs

Mr. Racoon and sons who stole
away on moon soaked nights
snatching gourmet meals
from the neighbors’ trash

The foxes who ran
like the wind
The hippity hop hares who hid
until they passed

And, of course,
the dear does who joyfully
played and pranced
using shade as a canopy
for their antics
How proudly they
watched their young
lounging on sunlit green!

No matter how much time has past
the pain is still great
I remember the love in their eyes
the love they unconditionally gave
the joy of holding them

With each sweet memory
my heart cries
I die a little
wishing
I could hold them again

It takes all my strength
not to succumb to the loss
the pain of missing them
the pain of sadness

To weep and weep
until my holes are full
and my memory forgets
but I can’t
I love them too much

And I am so grateful
they were in my life [Read more…]
